Grants could bring more doctors here

A young foundation has taken a small step toward attracting more family doctors to the region, especially to areas often neglected by new doctors looking to make their mark.



The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Healthcare Foundation, also known as the Doctors Foundation, just agreed to give $1,500 each year to a graduating medical student at each of nine medical schools in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The catch is, they need to complete their medical residencies here at one of the three hospitals that offer family practice residencies: University, Bethesda and St. Elizabeth's.
