Vegetable Garden Offers Hope for Homeless in Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County's first homeless resource center in West Palm Beach, the Senator Philip D. Lewis Center, provides a donated garden from Home Depot employees where the homeless tends to an assortment of plants, herbs, fruit trees, and vegetable plants.

As the homeless works in the garden, they find that it brings them hope and grows their self-worth. As Jenece Fields, a resident of the center, claimed, "It makes you feel good about yourself... motivation is what it is."
