Federal Budget Cuts Will Result In Airfest Cancellation and Worker Layoffs

The MacDill Air Force Base faces the upcoming federal budget cuts that would mean cancellation of Airfest and civilian employee layoffs.

Most of the 3,000 employees working at MacDill could be affected by the budget cut. The U.S. Congress will have to make an agreement pertaining to an alternative solution to the budget cut. The layoffs will resume on April 25 if an agreement cannot be reached.
