Federal Budget Cuts to Hit Massachusetts

Massachusetts will stand to lose funding for its local organizations and programs should the federal budget cut hit the state. Unless Congress takes action before Friday, an estimated $85 billion in cuts will take effect from March to September.

If an agreement will not be settled by then, Massachusetts will lose funding for education, environment, military, law enforcement, public health, jobs and senior programs.
