The Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has announced the creation of the Office of Tribal Affairs and Policy (OTAP) to address behavioral health issues of tribal nations.
OTAP will be SAMHSA's core of contact for tribal governments, tribal organizations, federal departments and agencies, and other government agencies on behavioral health issues that face American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) in the U.S.
