R.I. Economic Development Firm Loses 3 More Members


More bad news for R.I. Economic Development Corporation (EDC). The company has been struggling ever since its $75 million taxpayer-guaranteed loan to Curt Schilling's 38 Studios took a wrong turn. Schilling's company went bankrupt since last June.

University of Rhode Island President David Dooley and two local business leaders, Jack Templin and Cheryl Watkins Snead have already briefed Gov. Lincoln Chafee they no longer wish to serve on the EDC board.
