According to a new research, teachers are contributory in program to reduce childhood obesity. This program is a physical activities guide developed at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG) to help North Carolina address childhood obesity issues.
In the program, teachers were shown to direct physical activities which reduce health risks among children who participated. When teachers directed these activities, activity levels increased and students became less sedentary.
