While there is a growing movement to help find work for people with autism, for some of them starting their own business was the solution.

According to Gregg Ireland, co-founder of Extraordinary Ventures, a Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based organization that creates jobs for the autistic, "Work requiring an attention to detail and with repetitive tasks is ideal for an autistic person who wants to start a business." His autistic son Vinnie has already launched his very own yard work and landscaping business.
