Ford Foundation President Imposes the Need for Open, Affordable Internet Access


Ford Foundation President Luis A. Ubiņas now targets a new agenda: That of having all people secure affordable, open and fast Internet access everywhere.

Ubiņas also pushes for an overhaul of the E-Rate program which was created in 1996 to fund Internet connections for schools and libraries. Furthermore, he calls on getting broadband access at the core of any conversation on national infrastructure.
