San Jose to Transform Hotels and Motels Into Transitional Housing for Homeless


San Jose city officials aim to stop prostitution on South First Street by converting the hotels and motels surrounding the area into a housing community for the homeless.

The city council has OK-ed a recently passed proposal to help a designated non-profit turn some of South First Street's hotels and motels into transitional housing to shelter the homeless.
