82 Georgia Communities to Get Major Community Development Block Grant Funding

About 82 Georgia communities will score nearly $40 million in Community Development Block Grant funding to work on local economic growth projects.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded $39.7 million to these communities. A total of 71 communities are being provided $35.8 million funds for infrastructure improvements, neighborhood revitalization and services to help the poor. HUD rolled out $3.9 million to 11 communities to invest in economic redevelopment projects that aim to create jobs and drive private investment.
