US Treasury Commits $325 Million in Bond Guarantees For Underserved Communities

The U.S. Treasury Department recently guaranteed $325 million in bonds to help support long-term community development financing and "fill a financing gap in underserved areas by providing long-term, fixed rate capital."

The Small Business Jobs Act established the CDFI Bond Guarantee Program, which "expands Obama Administration efforts to meet the economic and community development needs of underserved urban and rural areas."
