Tech incubator Significance Labs aims to create apps that serve the needs of impoverished communities.
Significance Labs is working to transform the current plight of the poor as a growing percentage of them come to own smartphones or tablets. Funded by the Blue Ridge Foundation, Significance Labs will be running additional programs and is considering expansion. Its primary mission is to see more developers be inspired and encouraged in serving the low-income demographic on their own.
