Civil Society Groups Appeal to Review of Human Rights


Seven Civil Society Organizations in Zambia have requested for the Zambia's Human Rights Commission, and other Zambia civic organizations to review Zambia's human rights records and castigate the violent encroachment done by the Zambian Government.

This protest is in part of the arrest and charge of Zambian politician and opposition leader, Hakainde Hichilema. The organizations attacked the Zambian Police Command for its unprofessionalism in dealing with matters that hinder freedom of expression.
