\"Crackdown\" on Sudan Civil Society Leads to Widespread Unrest


The Sudan government has recently been involved in a so-called "crackdown" on civil society organizations and leaders.

Over the past few months, the freedom within the Sudan community for individual citizens to express their opinions and plan events with fellow citizens has radically slimmed. The Sudan government has severely objected civil society’s condemnation by silencing Sudanese’s rights to be heard rather than giving them consideration they deserve as citizens.

Bixi is in major financial distress and its bikes have proven to be too “expensive to build, operate and maintain”.
