The Wal-Mart Local Giving Program is offering grants to organizations who work to improve hunger relief and healthy eating, increase sustainability, boost women's economic empowerment and spur career opportunities.

Applications are being accepted nationwide. Funding amounts from $250 to $2,500. Eligible organizations may include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, community or faith-based groups.
