Sochi 2014 volunteers have reached a thousand hoping to assist at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

Sochi 2014 CEO and President Dmitry Chernyshenko states that a volunteer movement is being revived in Russia. Although applications for volunteers are finally closed, the volunteer application process was open to the public.
