Dating in Middle School Points to Higher Rates of Dropouts and Drug Use

A new study from the University of Georgia shows that middle school students who are into dating are more prone to dropping out and experimenting with alcohol and illegal substances.

The results of the study are found in the Journal of Research on Adolescence. Leading the study is Pamela Orpinas, study author and professor in the College of Public Health and head of the Department of Health Promotion and Behavior.
