Committed Solutions to Homelessness Needed Now

Plans to eradicate homelessness are being brought to attention. The Performing Arts Center of Bethune-Cookman University will be gathering more than 2,000 people to face the problem concerning single homeless men and women who sleep on the streets in Volusia County.

Many nonprofits, housing services and state leaders are endlessly fighting homelessness. The government notes that what the homeless needs are emergency shelters, transitional or long-term housing and outreach services.

The youth earn valuable life skills through mentorship, a key component in the social enterprise model. These social enterprises engage youth in training boot-camps and counselling, while receiving profits in return from their respective businesses.
