A research on laboratory animals suggests that consumption of foods high in carbohydrates in infancy can result into lasting obesity and weight gain.

The study is conducted at University at Buffalo in its UB Department of Biochemistry and published this month in the American Journal of Physiology: Endocrinology and Metabolism.
