SBA Expands Impact Fund, Boosts Small Business Capital

The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced the expansion of the Impact Fund, which was launched in 2011 as a five-year, $1 billion pilot initiative to capitalize investment funds that aim for both financial and social return.

The Impact Fund is set to continue beyond FY2016 as a feature of the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Program. It will be available to a wider range of investors that pursue positive social, environmental, and economic impact.
