10-Year Plan to End Homelessness Successful, Homeless Count Drops to 82%

The annual Point-in-Time Count of homeless families and individuals in Asheville and Buncombe County reveals that the 293 chronically homeless identified in 2005 dropped to 54.

The Point in Time Count also specifies that family and youth homelessness continues to be a challenge. The statistical study is conducted by the Asheville Buncombe Homeless Initiative.
