Emotional Awareness Spurs Healthy Eating Choices

In a new study appearing in the Journal of Marketing Research, being mindful of their emotions can promote better, healthier eating options.

Authors of the study encouraged consumer educational programs to put lesser emphasis on reading nutritional labels and to promote exercises that enhance emotional awareness instead. This way, people will have a better understanding of what goes into their bodies and trigger them to not only eat better, but also be happier and healthier because they become more aware of their overall wellbeing.
