Manitoba Seeks First Impressions for Small-town Community Development

A Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (MAFRD) program gathered small Manitoba towns that include Souris and Minnedosa, Niverville and Stonewall, and Portage la Prairie and Dauphin to participate in seeing their own strengths and deficiencies through a handbook given by MAFRD, and log their outsider's views on the other's community.

These small town communities also were offered constructive recommendations about where they can build upon their first impressions. The First Impressions Community Exchange aims to create vibrant communities by tidying up what's needed and what communities can be doing more for the betterment of its residents.
