According to the Point-in-Time Count last January, the number of the chronically homeless dropped to more than 50 percent, which is good news.
However, there is still a mounting struggle to combat homelessness. Local agencies continue working on providing shelter counseling, permanent housing support and helping people gain employment for homeless reduction.
