The NAACP South Bend Chapter expands its efforts for economic development. Dynamically working to boost the economic framework of communities, the chapter works through supporting the establishment and growth of small businesses by matching funds.
The chapter also focuses on building individual wealth and community assets in keeping with the tenants of the national organization. The local chapter of the NAACP is part of an alliance of grassroots organizations that are results-oriented.

New social enterprise, I.M.P.A.C.T Northeast CIC, has moved its headquarters smack dab in Sunderland city. I.M.P.A.C.T is set up at the University of Sunderland’s Enterprise Place and offers services to schools and local communities.
