Budget Cuts Harm Head Start Programs

The Head Start program in Pembina County will receive the brunt of the federal budget cuts in which more children won't be returning next year.

The sequestration cuts the support for programs nationwide and a more decreased need in both Pembina and Cavalier counties forced the closure. There won’t be anything else that parents can take their kids to resulting from the closure.
