How Social Media Is Linked With Social Skills in Children

As part of the growth of the Internet and mobile communication enterprises, researchers study how new forms of media affect social skills, values, and relationships in children.

To address the issue, the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) will host a symposium hat presents research on children from early childhood to young adulthood as it tackles how social media is associated with social skills and values and how it can help with learning. The symposium will be held at the Washington Convention Center.
