Southern Vermont College (SVC) students wrapped up their spring semester philanthropy course by disseminating funds to three local community organizations.
Each organization received $1,600 grants. The three local organizations are Friends of Hiland Hall Gardens, Southwestern Vermont Health Care, and Center for Restorative Justice. Professor Jeb Gorham designed the course, tasking students in preparing requests for proposals, signing up applicants and filtering award recipients.
