Fixers Project Breaks Down Barriers of Homelessness

Fixers, a project backed by Big Lottery Fund, has been providing assistance to young adults in the UK to have a voice in their communities.

One of those who managed to break down the barriers of homelessness is Gareth Dawe who has been staying in a hostel. Fixers supported Dawe's campaign with an event at the Henwick Road-based YMCA Worcester to change people's perceptions of homeless people and get more of the homeless employed.

Helen Trevaskis was inspired during her trips to India. As she visited the poverty-stricken slums of Bangalore, Delhi, Agra and Bombay, Trevaskis chose to create Clean Hands Inc, a fledgling social enterprise to improve health in developing countries through improved hand hygiene.
