Childhood Bullying Increases Self-Inflicted Pain Inclinations during Adolescence

According to a research entitled "Being Bullied During Childhood and the Prospective Pathways to Self-Harm in Late Adolescence", researchers from the University of Warwick in association with colleagues at the University of Bristol pinpoints primary school age bullying could result in self-harm during teens.

The research, published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, also exposes issues that shed a better understanding why bullying is not only a harmless rite of passage, it's a real problem that needs to be addressed.
