Medicare Beneficiaries Need Volunteers More Than Ever

There are over 1.5 million Medicare beneficiaries in North Carolina and these beneficiaries are served by the Seniorsí Health Insurance Information Program's (SHIIP) volunteers.

SHIIP is quartered within the North Carolina Department of Insurance to dispense Medicare education to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. SHIIP often seeks out new volunteers and without these volunteers, SHIIP could not extend its counseling services to Medicare beneficiaries throughout the state.
