According to a study published by JAMA Pediatrics, a JAMA Network publication, Hispanic youth watched about 12 foods ads per day with the majority appearing on English-language TV and a higher portion of fast-food ads appearing on Spanish-language TV.
Yale University researchers have taken into account the high obesity rates associated with youngsters. Obesity is a public health concern in the United States and these youths being regularly exposed to food product ads with little or no nutritional value can contribute to the issue at hand.
