Volunteering Improves Mental, Emotional and Chronic Health Conditions, Study Finds


According to the 2013 Health and Volunteering Study conducted by Minnesota-based UnitedHealth Group, volunteering can improve mental, emotional and chronic health conditions.

It was also found out that volunteers have better self-esteem, independence, contentment and capacity for interpersonal relationships. Volunteering also reduces stress as volunteers exhibit higher energy levels than those who do not.
