Historic Preservation Boosts Economic Development, Study Finds


According to a study by the Utah Heritage Foundation, historic preservation and conservation spur economic development.

The Washington, D.C., real estate and economic development consulting firm PlaceEconomics conducted the study in which more than 7,000 jobs were created by the heritage portion of Utah’s tourism industry every year. The study also used data from an econometric model called Implan.
