According to Forbes, the philanthropic pledges of just 400 people parallel the annual philanthropic GDP of the whole nation. The Forbes 400 "self-made" billionaires are identified as the most generous of the lot. The group includes business founders, co-founders, and CEOs of companies tend to help others "climb as they have".
