House Rejects Farm Bill, SNAP Not Taken Out

The trillion-dollar legislation known as the farm bill will move to separate nutrition assistance from agriculture subsidies, which means that food stamps, or SNAPs, will get removed as well.

However, the House of Representatives dropped the Farm Bill by a 195-234 vote. The rejection of the farm bill could be good for low-income folks as most of them rely on SNAP as their safety nets for their necessary everyday provisions.
