On Forbes Social Entrepreneur Show: Mystery Grain Amaranth and Puente à la Salud


Devin Thorpe of Forbes, also speaker and author of Your Mark On The World, interviews Kate Seely and Katherine Lorenz of Puente a la Salud, a nonprofit organization helping the people of Oaxaca, Mexico to grow a mystery grain called "amaranth".

Thorpe chats with the founders on a Social Entrepreneur show on Forbes where they tell about this great grain, a 16-hour grain crop available to farmers. Seely and Lorenz informs that amaranth grains can be especially beneficial for malnourished children and low-income families since Oaxaca remains one of the poorest state in Mexico despite its agriculture-based economy.
