In an event tagged "Innovate Berkeley Dinners – The Sharing Economy", the HUB Berkeley organizers serve a mishmash of appetizing feasts and art with outstanding business thinkers to promote and share ideas about how to make Berkeley an activity hub for social enterprise.

The event is a joint effort among the HUB Berkeley, the Berkeley Startup Cluster and the Urban Innovation Exchange. It features important guests and food prepared by Chef Hiroo Nagahara of the Chairman Truck.

At-risk youth have been receiving financial and emotional support from a slew of social enterprises. The youth earn valuable life skills through mentorship, a key component in the social enterprise model. These social enterprises engage youth in training boot-camps and counselling, while receiving profits in return from their respective businesses.
