A total of 14 Hawaii health centers received $1,204,918 in funding from the Health and Human Services (HHS) to help the uninsured get health coverage as implemented by new options stated in the Affordable Care Act.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced the grant awards. The funding will enable Hawaii residents to get an additional resource to help them better understand their insurance options and easily access affordable coverage.
