Partnering with Embassies to Spur Global Social Entrepreneurship

John Heffern, Ambassador to Armenia and Affiliate Fellow at the Beeck Center for Social Impact, addresses public-private partnerships as a solution to jumpstart innovation, inclusiveness, environmental sustainability, and prosperity.

Heffern promotes bottom up change at Georgetown's Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation and Institute for the Study of Diplomacy by fostering engagement and partnerships among embassies, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship organizations.

Heffern is already connecting entrepreneurs with foreign embassies in Washington and U.S. embassies abroad.

Heffern also offers five tips on how organizations can double their impact through enterprise-led development and partnerships: linking missions, creating partnerships, building trust between embassies and entrepreneurs, improving the entrepreneurial environment, and expanding the vision of Georgetown students.
